| DAP:Naik Sewa,Deposit 6 Bulan ,Halau Peniaga Melayu Sebab Bukan Kroni! Sebab apa? Ada kawtim under table ka? Pisau kata " untung rakyat Penang, regim DAP sangat adil kan?" |

Sebaliknya Presiden PAS mencadangkan nama Dr. Ahmad Yunus. Sebab itu anda mesti faham, memang benar PAS menyokong Anwar Ibrahim....TETEPI anda mesti sedar bahawa dua orang kuat Haji Hadi menolak Anwar Ibrahim. Dua hari lalu, Nasharudin sendiri bercakap konsep Kepartisan. | Posted: 18 Jan 2012 06:51 AM PST Absurdity is the only word to describe the instruction by PM Najib to both DPM Muhyiddin Yasin and Agriculture Minister Noh Omar to look into the NFC fiasco. I think the instruction comes a bit too late since the case is now being investigated by the police and MACC. And what good is Muhyiddin and Noh Omar to the case now, particularly Muhyiddin who is deemed a party to the fiasco; him being the Agriculture Minister then to have approved the project to NFC. Now, it is just like asking someone to investigate a break in, when that someone was involved in the incident itself. It was also reported that when a reporter had asked Noh Omar about the case, he conveniently said that the case be best referred to Muhyiddin. Now, what sort of an answer is this? It only shows how irresponsible he is, despite being instructed by PM Najib to look into the case. This answer would mean that the burden now rest solely upon Muhyiddin and Noh Omar wants to have nothing to do with it. This is the state that UMNO ministers are in now, where responsibility and accountability are taken for granted, despite Noh Omar being the present Agriculture Minister. The least he could have answered was that the matter is currently being looked at, although such an answer may sound equally stupid. Shahrizat is now on a three weeks leave, hopefully to ponder over her fate and that of her family. I do not wish to speculate what will become of her when she is back from leave, and hopefully by then Malaysians would have a better insight as to how the case will proceed i.e. will there be charges leveled at the owners of the NFC or otherwise. I don't believe that Shahrizat would be asked by the party leadership to resign knowing that she could bring others down with her over the NFC issue. The only choice that the party leadership has is for her to voluntarily exit the party and with 'conditions' attached. As of now, the focus on the NFC fiasco is the misappropriation and abuse by the NFC management's handling of the project where accusation is targeted at Shahrizat's husband and her three children. But little attention is given to the people and authorities that were a party to have approved the project. Had the project being closely monitored and procedures abided strictly by the relevant government authorities, I think the project could have been saved from the mess that was reported. I am also not expecting that the approval was without a 'side deal' to benefit someone of influence or simply a 'toll keeper'. Looking back at the case, surely Muhyiddin who was the Agriculture Minister then has a lot to answer. And for him to absolve blame would tantamount to an act of betrayal, cowardice and dishonesty to the solemn pledge he made upon assuming the post of the Agriculture Minister. And now being the DPM, he has to show greater courage and forthrightness in what he does since this is a case of serious public interest. He can no longer hide the truth; neither can he lie because the facts are all in public domain. I think Muhyiddin is now trapped between the two evils and the only way out of his predicament is to reveal the truth, although this may be damaging to the party and to his close associate that had a hand in approving the project. This act may also be the cause of his final demise from politics, which I believe he fears most. Clearly, the NFC fiasco has grown from bad to worse. The deeper you prod, the more is revealed, and now out comes the credit card spending amounting to RM600 thousand by NFC. Now, it would be interesting to know what was actually spent. I hope it is not for some personal luxury items like expensive watches, bags, shoes, perfumes and clothing that bears exclusive and branded names. I think there is that tendency to do the aforesaid because the money isn't theirs. Finally, let's await the outcome of the investigation by the police and MACC. I would definitely not want to listen to what Muhyiddin or Noh Omar has to say about the case, and it would be best that they lay off from having to do anything with the ongoing investigations. Actually, they ought to be investigated too rather than being asked to look into the case, as ordered by PM Najib. CRUSADE AGAINST CORRUPTION |

| Landed property is still the best investment Posted: 18 Jan 2012 06:06 AM PST I wish to refer to an article in The Star http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2012/1/13/business/10251555&sec=business on the late Tan Sri Lee Yan Lian's lands being put up for sale. The reserve prices of the 5 pieces of land mentioned totalled a whopping Rm415 million! The fact that Tan Sri died as early as 1983, I presume his estate was maintained for 28 years! In most cases, distributions were done soon after death, and the difference in value would have been substantial indeed! According to the report, a 7,239-sq-ft land in the prime location of Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur has a reserve price of RM50mil. (Rm6,907 psf!) The land is currently occupied by The Malaysia Hotel; 276,832 sq ft in 4th mile Old Klang Road (near the Pearl International Hotel)has a reserve price of RM90mil. (Rm325 psf); The other three parcels are located in Petaling Jaya: A 265,245-sq-ft plot in Jalan SS23/15 in Taman SEA has a reserve price of RM150mil(Rm565 psf); 82,715 sq ft in Jalan SS2/64, which is currently used as a car park, is going for RM100mil. (Rm1,200 psf); a vacant 84,315-sq-ft land made up of seven plots with old bungalows on two plots in Taman Tan Sri Lee Yan Lian in Section 16 has a reserve price of RM25mil. (Rm296 psf). I have included the price psf in brackets, based on the reserve prices. I can still remember having attended an interview by Kingsley Yuen (LYL's son-in-law), at Lee Yan Lian Building, on Jalan Tun Perak (Mountbatten Road before) in 1971! One of LYL's companies, Ban Lee Sdn Bhd, developed Taman Kepong Baru, Dr. Tan Chee Koon's constituency then. A number of my relatives bought shophouses and houses there. United Garden, off Jalan Kelang Lama, is another of LYL's project. I am sure there are others elsewhere not mentioned. If I am not mistaken, a part of Section 14, Petaling Jaya, was also developed by LYL. The two-roomed single-storey terrace houses were sold at below Rm10,000! Now, a similar house in its original condition is asking for Rm400,000! I thought Wisma LYL next to Section 14 belongs to them, but was told otherwise. Anyway, to put in perspective, the properties now available for sale can be described as remnants of LYL's vast property holdings held for housing developments. In terms of value, I think his personal worth at the time of his death in 1983 was less than the total value of these remnant pieces offered for sale now! Just to show how much property values had appreciated over 28 years, partly because of inflation. Holding power makes a lot of difference. A generation of holding on to properties could make the rich become super rich! Link |

| Malaysia Will Go Bankrupt By 2019? Posted: 18 Jan 2012 02:32 AM PST As a matter of facts and from the budget 2012, everyone who are money wise will be able to see that there is no high income capital but very high expenditure/expense. Spending Rakyat's money just like drinking water for ther own benefit. It is very clear cut. You can definitely re-call and see for yourself whereby no one can dely except themselves. Consider properly and give your votes to the Right Party Concern For Our Future Generation Regardless of Race and Religion. We want Genuine and Trusted People to Head The Future Generation. Thus what is predicted below is and will not be a surprise and as they have better inner knowledge and hearts of the rakyats. Read this before but a reminder of the grim future of this country under present rule.... Massively throwing around rakyat's money now to buy votes via various fruitless dubious 1schemes, at the expense of our future generations.... Malaysia bankrupt .... Malaysian maids en-route to India , Indonesia and China , sooner than we think ! Confirmation By Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER) That Malaysia Will Go Bankrupt By 2019 Press Statement Lim Guan Eng on 11 Jan 2012 Malaysia will become a fully indebted nation before the end of the decade at the current rate of massive borrowing and irresponsible spending by the BN Government. The Federal government debt to GDP (Gross Domestic Product) ratio has increased yearly from 53.1% in 2010, 53.8% in 2011 and 54.8% in 2012. This is extremely alarming and nearly touching the national debt ceiling of 55%. According to Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER) fellow Mohd Ariff Abdul Kareem, if the Federal Government continues to borrow at the current rate, our debt to GDP ratio will be 100% of GDP by 2019! In absolute terms, Federal Government debt rose by 71% in 4 years to RM456 billion at end 2011 from RM266 billion at end 2007. At the same rate of expansion, our national debt will be RM780 billion by 2016, and RM1.3 trillion by 2020. Mohd Ariff also noted that what is more worrying is that our rate of borrowing is far outpacing our economic growth, so much so that he was quoted as saying, "If nothing is done to reverse the current trends in government expenditures and revenues, extrapolation suggests that Malaysia's national debt will explode to 100 per cent of GDP by 2019." This is extremely dangerous, and even more disastrous when coupled with statistics from Bank Negara's Annual Report 2010, which revealed that Malaysia's household debt at the end of 2010 was RM 581 billion or 76% of GDP, thus giving us the dubious honour of having the second-highest level of household debt in Asia, after South Korea. In addition, the Malaysian household debt service ratio stood at 47.8 per cent in 2010, meaning that nearly half of the average family's income goes to repaying debts. Not only are Malaysians debt-laden, cost of goods are also skyrocketing while income and salaries have stagnated. While infant milk powder has risen by nearly 50% in recent times, other basic commodities have also gone up by leaps and bounds, such as: 1. Sugar: RM1.45/kg (Jan 2010) to RM2.30 (May 2011) – 58% in 18 months. 2. Eggs: B grade RM9/30eggs (sept 2010) RM10/30eggs (now). 3. Electricity tariff: average increase of 7.12% in June 2011. 4. The tarik and kopi susu: increase RM0.10 to RM0.20 (9.1% to 18.2%. 5. Gardenia bread: 5%-14% hike (2011). 6. Service tax increase 1%: additional RM720 million in taxes to Federal Government. 7. Onions: price up 17% (Dec 2010). 8. Milo: up 5% 1st half 2011; 4% 2nd half 2011. 9. Nescafe: price went up further 6% in 2nd half 2011, when price is already RM20 per 300gm 10. Favorite food items like roti canai, char koay teow and nasi kandar have become smaller even portions at the same price. In contrast, Pakatan Rakyat-managed states have successfully managed their finances and not overburdened the people with debts. In fact, Penang managed to reduce state debt from RM630 million at 8 March 2008 to only RM30 million as at end of October 2011. This represents a debt reduction of 95% or RM600 million, which is the highest debt reduction of any state in Malaysia's history! Clearly, Malaysians who wish to have a better life for themselves and their future generations must make a choice between a government that is spendthrift and that borrows irresponsibly without being able to make the pie grow bigger, or a government that is prudent and transparent that will put the concerns of the rakyat first. Confirmation By Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER) That Malaysia Will Go Bankrupt By 2019 With Debt To GDP Ratio Of 100% Demonstrates The Importance Of Change Of Government At The Next General Elections For PR To Save Malaysia From Bankruptcy. |
| Penang to go ahead with issuing gazette notification over local govt elections Posted: 18 Jan 2012 02:28 AM PST Wednesday January 18, 2012 MYT 5:39:25 PM Star GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Government will go ahead with issuing a gazette notification exempting local authorities in the state from Section 15 of the Local Government Act 1976. Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the state had instructed the state legal advisor to issue the gazette notification exempting local authorities in Penang from Section 15, which "nullified all local government elections". "This is a precursor to seeking a court declaration to compel the Election Commission (EC) to conduct local government elections," he said in a press statement Wednesday. Section 15 of the Act states: "Not withstanding anything to the contrary contained in any written law, all provisions relating to local government elections shall cease to have force or effect." On Tuesday, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Chor Chee Heung had advised Lim to discuss first with the National Council for Local Government (MNKT) before attempting to hold local elections in Penang. In reply, Lim said Penang Government had attempted to consult with the MNKT on the issue of restoring local government elections. "On July 14, 2009, state Local Government and Traffic Management Committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow wrote to the Housing and Local Government Ministry, as the secretariat to the MNKT, on this matter, but was informed on Aug 3, 2009 that the Federal Government had no plans to reinstate local government elections. "On Aug 11, 2009, the Penang State Assembly passed a resolution calling upon the Federal authorities to take action to reinstate local government elections. Chow again wrote to the ministry on Aug 24, 2009, communicating the resolution of the state assembly and asking for the matter to be tabled and discussed at the 62nd meeting of the MNKT. "However, by its letter dated Sept 14, 2009, the ministry again refused to list the topic for discussion," he said. He added that a three-man legal panel, comprising Penang's independent legal panel head Datuk Yeo Yang Poh, lawyers Tommy Thomas and Malik Imtiaz, was retained by the state government and they advised that the reintroduction of local government elections was within the powers of the state, in accordance with the Local Government Elections Act 1960, which was revised in 1991. "On March 4, 2010, I wrote to the EC asking it to conduct local government elections to the Penang Municipal Council and Seberang Prai Municipal Council, but the commission also refused. "On March 12, 2010, I also wrote to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak offering to meet him to discuss the state's position but again received no response," he said. |

Kenapa orang DAP Selangor yang dapat?Bab tu korang kena tanya Ng Wei Aik lah... | TAN SRI KADIR SHEIKH FADZIR DROPPED A BOMB SHELL Posted: 17 Jan 2012 07:34 PM PST Former Tourism Minster Tan Sri Kadir Sheikh Fadzir has dropped a 'bomb shell' that will now proof for certain that money had been widely used by UMNO to buy votes in previous elections. In the past this issue has been widely talked about but there wasn't anyone from within UMNO that dared to come forward to substantiate and confirm such an allegation. Since the statement was made, there has not been any single rebuttal by any member of the ruling UMNO party; certainly not from the party's top leadership. Silence is golden they say, but in this particular case, silence is a confession of guilt. With this revelation, it puts to rest the perception that I have had since the 2004 election, and that of many others, that UMNO had continuously won the elections through devious and corrupt means. It is now proven that UMNO is a party of cheaters and for that, all those that had won the election through the aforesaid means does not deserve the allowances paid to them, and calling them the 'Yang Berhormat' is utter disgrace and a mockery. It is more appropriate that such elected members be called the "Yang Penipu'. You may think that I am being rude and hard on these cheaters, but what better expression can I use to describe them. I had been a leader of men and it dawn in me that being a leader comes with responsibilities. I have to gain respect from the men I command and lead, and I can only achieve this by showing to them my exemplary character and behavior; both in words and action. Had I been a leader that was unscrupulous and rose up the ranks through devious means, I ought to be mocked and shamed wherever I go. I am not saying that I am an exemplary leader, but I am convinced that I have not bribed or bad mouth anyone to get to where I was in my career in the Army. How my superiors viewed me wasn't important, but how my subordinates had looked upon me, I think is more relevant. The upcoming election will be a difficult one for both the BN and PR. UMNO/BN has declared this election to be a 'Mother of all Battles'. PR too sees this election to be their 'Day of Judgment' that will determine whether the party sinks or be kept afloat. Both parties have their strength and weaknesses. UMNO/BN has a proven record of ruling the country (for better or for worse) since independence, while the PR has the four states to proof their worthiness. UMNO/BN of late seems to be mired in controversies (corruption, misappropriation and abuses), while the PR seems to be shaken by the sacking of its PAS Selangor state exco member Dato Hassan Ali that can be a torn in the PR's efforts at winning the elections. Surely UMNO/BN has all the resources, especially the money (taxpayers money of course) to be handed out to those with a household income of less than RM3000 and some other cash handout as a bait (this was vehemently denied by DPM Muhyiddin) to win votes. I say this is because if it was an honest gesture to help relieve the people's suffering, it should have been done many years ago on a regular basis; not a one off and at a time when the election is just around the corner. Muhyiddin can say what he wants but clearly, he cannot hide the ulterior motives behind the cash handouts to Malaysian anymore. UMNO/BN is known for this and watch my word; more cash handouts will be delivered as the election draws near. Where the money is coming from, God knows. With vote buying or not, UMNO/BN's scheming tactics at winning the election will now be under close scrutiny; not only by concerned Malaysians voters, but by some of their own party members who are clearly fed up with the cheating that has been going on in UMNO/BN. This cheating scheme has gone long enough, and Malaysians can no longer stand by to watch and be govern by a party that is elected through the most unscrupulous and devious means. I will expect the people to rise against a government that is elected by such means. CRUSADE AGAINST CORRUPTION |
| Posted: 17 Jan 2012 05:28 PM PST Chinese celebrating Chinese New Year will try their best to make it for family reunion dinner on the eve of the Lunar New Year. This year there is no 30th but 29th which falls on Sunday January 22. Many employees try to take leave (if necessary and if possible) to make the whole of the following week off work. Even employers feel it is better to close for additional days knowing full well their business associates and customers or clients are likely to be off. Anyway, Chinese restaurants are cashing in on reunion dinners. According to a friend who read it in the Star, East Ocean is having 5 sessions of dinners! Just imagine: starting from 5 pm, every hour until 9 pm. This is crazy and for those who had experienced low quality and poor service during such rush hours, they are opting for home dinners instead. It is so much easier to order items like roast pork, roast duck or other special items to supplement dishes which can be cooked at home. The latest commercialism arising out of this is that there are caterers specializing in popular dishes like shark's fins soup or just about any item you wish to be delivered or collected. This is getting popular because most people are put off by the waiting at restaurants, and having to rush through meals because people are waiting for your seats! Not the best way to enjoy reunion dinners. Anyway, home should be the right place for reunion anyway. Link |
