Anwar’s Support Israel Video Making Its Rounds

AIDCNews – 02/02/12 – The 7 minutes 48 seconds video recording of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's speech, which many say is in support of an 'Israeli State' has begun to make its rounds.

"I represent the view…'two states solution' for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, "said Anwar at the Woodrow Wilson International Centre (WWIC), Washington DC on June 24, 2010.

Anwar said this when answering a question posed by Stanley Kober, a former Research Fellow in Foreign Policy Studies at Cato Institute, Washington, who asked him to explain why he voted the way he did on the flotilla incident, as well as why this issue was so important that the Malaysian parliament wanted to vote on it and would want to make its opinion.

It could be that, according to the participant in question, Anwar as the leader of Malaysia's opposition pact should be opposing the motion to criticise Israel in the Malaysian parliament, and that if, he too, supported it, it only showed that he was also 'anti-Semitic.'

In reply, Anwar said he was suspicious and rejected the motion to criticise Israel – a motion that was suggested by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak because, according to him the act of bringing up an anti-Israeli motion was tantamount to a policy of 'racism.'

He said Najib, who brought that motion, had criticised what was considered as brutal action on the part of the Zionist state of Israel. He went on to say that he and his cohorts (actually) in the opposition were sceptical in support of the resolution.

However, he cautioned that many among his group realised that there was no need to adopt an anti-Jew or anti-Semitic stance, as this would be tantamount to being racists.

To support his answer, and to prove that he rejected the anti-Israeli motion, Anwar claimed that he represented those who supported the 'two states solution' idea in putting an end to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

In the video, Anwar also criticised the laws practised in Malaysia, which he considered as undemocratic…laws such as the whipping sentence imposed on former part time model, Kartika Sari Dewi Sukarno for consuming alcohol, as well as the ban on the use of the word Allah among Christians.-AIDC

Politik pulau pinang tak pernah lari daripada pihak haprak pakatan yang sering kali mempertikaikan kenapa kerajaan BN menyerahkan pucuk pimpinan kepada bukan bangsa melayu.

Mereka bermain politik rasis ini dikalangan orang melayu,kononnya Umnolah yang mengadai hak menjadi pemimpin didalam kerajaan negeri.Umno tidak pernah mempedulikan siapakah yang menjadi ketua kerajaan negeriPulau Pinang,asalkan pemimpin itu berada didalam BN.

Sejak puluhan tahun sudah menjadi tradisi,yang mempersoalkan kedudukan ini rata ratanya adalah dari kalangan pakatan.Dalam masa mempersoalkan kononnya Umno mengadai hak orang melayu menjadi pemimpindinegeri ini.Orang melayu sendiri tidak sedar betapa pentingnya kuasa politik.

Menjadi pengundi adalah untuk memberi mandat dan kuasa kepada orang yang kita pilih.Yang paling bijak dalam menentukan kuasa politik adalah kaum cina,mereka menyedari peri pentingnya menjadi pengundi.Apa gunanya merintih tertindas,susah dan dizalimi.

Apa guna meroyan diatas jalan raya,berikat kain dikepala melaungkan mereka adalah pejuang melayu.Apa guna membawa gerembolan orang orang silat yang mengaku itu ini walhal tidak diterjemahkan kepada kuasa mengundi.

Gah itu! Gah ini! tu la melayu.

Berdasarkan fakta,orang melayu di negeri Pulau Pinang adalah majoriti berbanding komposisi

penduduk dari bangsa cina.Namun Kaum cina berjaya menjadi majoriti dengan pendaftaran jumlah pengundi yang ramai.

Orang Melayu dikesan paling ramai tidak mendaftar sebagai pengundi walaupun layak berbuat demikian.

Pengerusi Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR), Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd. Yusof berkata, berdasarkan kajian pihaknya mendapati orang Melayu memandang remeh perkara itu dengan memberikan pelbagai alasan.

Beliau bagaimanapun enggan mendedahkan bilangan sebenar orang Melayu yang terbabit daripada jumlah terkini 3.7 juta orang yang layak mendaftar tetapi tidak berbuat demikian.

"Ada yang memberi alasan bahawa mereka terlalu sibuk dengan urusan harian sehingga tiada masa untuk mendaftar. Malah ada yang mengatakan tidak ada perubahan besar akan berlaku dengan hanya satu undi," katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian pada sidang akhbar selepas taklimat persediaan Pilihan Raya Umum Ke-13 kepada pegawai pengurus pilihan raya negeri di sini hari ini.

Hadir sama Timbalan Ketua Polis negeri, Datuk Abdul Rahim Jaafar.

Sehubungan itu, Abdul Aziz menasihatkan golongan itu agar segera berbuat demikian bagi membolehkan mereka menunaikan hak dan tanggungjawab pada pilihan raya umum nanti.

Dalam perkembangan lain beliau memberitahu, hanya 50 responden memberikan maklum malas daripada 42,057 orang yang disenaraikan sebagai pengundi meragukan.

"Daripada 50 orang itu, 26 masih aktif manakala 24 lagi tidak dapat dipastikan status mereka," jelasnya.

Oleh itu, katanya, seramai 42,031 nama lagi akan digugurkan daripada senarai pemilih selepas tarikh semakan berakhir hari ini.

Sementara itu Abdul Aziz menjelaskan, cadangan untuk mengadakan proses pengundian awal bagi pengundi di luar negara tidak dapat dilakukan dan akan kekal dengan kaedah sedia ada iaitu undi pos.

"SPR ada meminta kerjasama Wisma Putra untuk melaksanakannya, namun mereka tidak dapat melakukannya kerana pelbagai faktor. Antaranya jumlah pengundi yang ramai selain kedudukan mereka yang berselerak," katanya

According to the nurse attending the operation, the patient's girlfriend found the ring in his pants pocket. She didn't know he was married and she was so mad she used petroleum jelly to slip the ring on his penis while he was asleep.

I don't know what's worse:
- Having your girl friend find out you're married.

I'm back...I think

My apologies to my readers for keeping quiet for quite some time. I have started a new job elsewhere and yes, I have been extremely busy....and stressed. I've got my linchen synflex to prove the stress that manifested in skin rash form if anybody were to doubt what I had just said.

Nevertheless, I'm determined to start writing again. It may not be as frequent...but I'll try.

Thank you for the e mails and the kind words and encouragement for me to continue with this blog.

I shall be back....till then...I think I'll go tend to my rash first :-)

A wife asks her husband,

1. Midnight, Najib went for supper and bumped into a robber.
