Zaid Ibrahim Cium Tangan Azmin Ali?

Zaid Ibrahim Cium Tangan Azmin Ali?

Zaid Ibrahim Cium Tangan Azmin Ali?

Posted: 06 Feb 2012 02:56 PM PST

Kalangan rakan-rakan PKR memang sedang mentertawakan Zaid Ibrahim di mana sahaja mereka pergi. Topik hangat di kalangan warga PKR: Zaid Ibrahim. Macam-macam teori.

Memang kena mandi bunga nampaknya loyar tersohor ni.-GelagatAnwar

Pisau kata "Zaid dah pernah kena kencing dalam PKR,dah ketagih nak lagi kot"

You Are Dearly Missed

Posted: 06 Feb 2012 09:05 AM PST

It was 6th of Feb, the day we've waited is finally here. The day she's flying off to Australia.

Before we part ways, we had our mini dates to some ice cream joint. My spoon in hers and hers in my bowl. The ice cream was sweet, but the bitterness swelled all over. I could almost feel it, her disappearance in months to come. I had to be strong though it was the last thing I wanted to do.

Our trip to the airport felt short, we sat at the back with her granny, our hands intertwined, never wanting to let go. I held on to my tears though it was already overwhelmed deep within. I wish I could hold it a little longer.

Both our family came to the airport to see her off. I still can't believe we have reached the day. It seems like yesterday we tagged each other on the blogsphere, ran around the mall like a looney couple, played mute and had the next table staring at us. I'd never thought she'd be the love of my life. But I still played it cool, I didn't cry.

The time to board the plane is here. As she make her rounds hugging and waving everyone, tears came running down her cheek. I was deeply saddened, but that wasn't enough to make leak my manly tears.

She walked up to me, held me tight and gave a big hug. This is it. This is the moment. If I had to cry, now is the time. I held like I never wanted to let go. Slowly, I leaned over and whispered the confession of a husband, a friend and a lover, "I love you". Tears blurred my vision, but it never fell down my cheek. Disappointed but that's as far as I could go. I bet if I broke down in tears, she'd never take another step pass the immigration counter.

She calmly passed the counter and waved the last goodbye, that was the last sight of her.

The trip home was the hardest. My mind starts drifting away, dwelling on and on of our fondest memories together.

I ran upstairs to our room and saw the mess we've created. The mess she apologizes for not having the time to sort it out. I sat at the corner of the bed and all hell breaks loose. Who'd help me find my work pants? My wedding ring? My glasses? My ubat ketiak? Who'd help me rub my back when I'm tensed? Who'd listen to my silly idea of mixing coffee and durian?

My dear wife, I'm sorry if I ever raised my voice to you. I'm sorry for waking you in the middle of your slumber. I'm sorry for not listening to everything you said. I'm sorry for poking you out of curiosity, I seriously think you're an angel in disguise. I'm sorry if my stories bores you to death. I'm sorry you had to be the adult when I misbehave in public.

Aisyah, I love you with all my heart. Be strong and good luck with your studies. I am proud of you, always have been and will always do. And try your best keep your prayers. God is with you and so will I, always. Till we meet again, my most loved and dearly missed roommate.

DAP members ban from attending Perkasa functions

Posted: 06 Feb 2012 07:29 AM PST

Unlike MCA, DAP Will Not Permit But Will Take Disciplinary Action Against Any DAP Member Caught Attending Perkasa Functions.
Published on February 6, 2012, 12:08 pm

Unlike MCA, DAP will not permit any member to attend Perkasa functions but will take disciplinary action against any DAP member caught doing so. For any Malaysian to attend Perkasa functions not only lends legitimacy to Perkasa's objectives of reducing non-Malays to 2nd or 3rd class citizens, but also that UMNO's racial dominance is more important than the critical issues of human rights, corruption and abuse of power.

I will not stoop to the level of MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek, who has launched personal attacks against me just to avoid answering the question why MCA will not ban but still permit its members and supporters to attend Perkasa's functions. Today MCA Deputy President Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said in The Star that MCA is still studying the agenda of members attending Perkasa's functions.

This is an admission by Liow of links between MCA members and Perkasa. DAP calls on Chua Soi Lek to reverse this irrational and irresponsible decision and instead follow DAP's example of banning MCA members and supporters from attending Perkasa's events. Is MCA willing to take a bold and uncompromising stand opposing all forms of racism and extremism even though Perkasa is openly supported by UMNO?

Chua should also stop his defence of Perkasa distributing "white pows" packets was not done on purpose.(New Straits Times 4 February 2012) Chua's claim that Perkasa did not distribute "white pows" on purpose was disputed by former Sri Desa MCA branch chairperson Dr Collin Tiew. Dr Colin Tiew said that he did tell Ibrahim that "white pows" is not suitable but Ibrahim did not bother. Chua should stop being apologists for Perkasa's claim that they did not distribute the "white pows" on purpose, as this serves to help Perkasa deceive not only oneself but others too.

At every Chinese New Year event attended by me, people have not only expressed their anger at Perkasa's 'white pows' act of deliberately trampling rudely over the sensitivities of the Chinese community. However there is also disappointment at Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib's refusal to condemn Perkasa and Najib's light dismissal of this gross insult as a "social experience".

Is the Prime Minister's refusal to condemn Perkasa caused by BN also distributing "white pows" during the BN Chinese New Year event in Seri Setia, Selangor. MCA Kelana Jaya division chief Ong Chong Swen had not denied that white envelopes with BN logos were distributed during the BN Chinese New Year event. If that is the case, then BN should immediately apologise to the Chinese community and stop such wrong practices.

In contrast, PAS has displayed openness in respecting the Chinese community by distributing not only ang pow, mandarin oranges and Chinese New Year cards to market traders but also to a pork seller, with his pork openly displayed. Has any UMNO leader done what PAS leaders have done?

MCA and Chua Soi Lek should ban MCA members from attending Perkasa's functions to send a clear and unequivocal message to Perkasa that right-thinking Malaysians, including the entire non-Malay community, will have nothing to do with a racist and extremist organization.

Guan Eng to Gerakan Teng : You are a sore loser

Posted: 06 Feb 2012 07:23 AM PST

Chinese media has reported that Gerakan Penang Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan has labelled Penangites 'have no knowledge' by choosing Pakatan Rakyat Lim Guan Eng. Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has hit back at Teng calling him a 'sore loser'. Lim challenged Teng to scold him instead of scolding the 1.5 million Penangites for the choice they made in the last election.

1Care more like extortion scheme

Here are some examples of what will happen to our income if the 1Care scam is implemented. For a person earning RM4,000 a month who is paying annual income tax of RM1,085.40, he/she would now have to pay an additional RM4,800 (10% of annual income of RM48,000) to the 1Care Malaysia scheme! Effectively his/her tax [...]

Expressway deal places heavy toll on rakyat

Posted: 06 Feb 2012 02:53 AM PST

The government is morally obliged to explain the rationale behind the award of the controversial RM7.1bn billion West Coast Expressway deal to a subsidiary of Kumpulan Europlus Bhd. WCE Sdn Bhd was awarded the concession to build and operate the 316km Banting-Taiping highway for an astounding 60 years. The government must reveal the full details [...]

Let me tell you why some BN leaders fear to declare their assets

Posted: 06 Feb 2012 02:32 AM PST

In the last few weeks, I have openly condemned the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency's (MACC) inaction over the NFC Scandal and the blazen shameless admission of acceptance of gratification by Awang Adek. Since then, Malaysians have witnessed another "rejected" Minister, Azalina Othman Said, making a similar admission. It seems that instead of being embarrassed, apologetic and [...]

Wish list for improving quality of urban life

Posted: 06 Feb 2012 01:08 AM PST

(By Noel Achariam, 1/2/2012)
New Straits Times: Streets took a survey among the following community leaders to find out their wish list for City Hall:
Lim Lip Eng, Segambut MP
"I hope that City Hall will look into providing free shuttle buses for the public, linking the main rail stations, car parks, shopping areas and businesses in the city.
"The move will be able to reduce traffic congestion and promote public transport.
Lim also called for the city council to establish a potholes patrol team to monitor all major roads in and around the city.
"City Hall officers would be best suited to patrol the various areas on motorbikes to spot the potholes and take the necessary action," he said.
Lim also wants City Hall to come up with a policy that looks into expanding urban green areas.
"We would like to see more green areas. We would also like City Hall to take stern action against environment polluters," he said.
Lim also wished City Hall an early success on the implementation of the River of Life project.

Thaipusam & 'Nambikei'

Posted: 06 Feb 2012 12:28 AM PST

As a child many years ago, I used to join the Thaipusam procession in my kampung. I was not alone as many other Malays, young and old, walked the ceremony with our Hindu friends. And we remained Muslims.

The Hindu chief priest at the Kuala Sungai Baru Estate never failed to invite the kampung folks - Malays and Chinese - to join the glorious event. We participated as friends. In our kampung, we were one in many other celebrations - Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali and even 'kenduri kahwin'.

So intact were we that parents treated each others' kids like theirs - with every rights to tell and advise you when you were in the wrong.

The kampung folks always met at the Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Tamil football field for a free 'wayang treat' from Jabatan Penerangan or sponsors like 'Minyak Chap Kapak' and 'Minyak Angin Chap Dua Singa'. That's how we came to know about MGR, Nagesh, P Ramlee, Tompel, Rajesh Khana, Lata Mageskar, Nora Miao and others.

I believe Malaysians in the era of 60s, 70s and early 80s were very much 1Malaysia. We mingled very well, lived a happy and harmonious life... and without prejudice. I wish of having a time-machine which can bring me back to that era - with Rama, Pankej, Suresh, Loga and others.

Its already 2012! As we celebrate Thaipusam together, please be reminded that there is no religion, race and color in friendship. Had we tagged ourselves along the line, there wouldn't have been incidents like attacking mosques, churches, kuils and tokongs.

In his Thaipusam message, Prime Minister Najib Razak has called on Malaysian Hindus to continue to place their "nambikei" in the government.

With this trust, he said, the government would be able to effectively engage with and help the community overcome challenges and achieve personal visions for a better life.

"We remain committed to fulfilling all our promises to the community and we'll do what's needed to help people achieve their dreams," he said in his message in conjunction with the Thaipusam festival posted on his blogsite www.1malaysia.com.my.

A-aaahhhh... Looks like we will need more of such calls in the coming years...

SELAMAT HARI THAIPUSAM

Israel Dominates the Debate in Malaysia – Again (WSJ)

Posted: 05 Feb 2012 08:30 PM PST

Recent comments by Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim have demonstrated yet again how issues related to Israel continue to divide this majority-Muslim country – and could influence the country's next national election. In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Mr. Anwar responded to the question of whether he would open diplomatic ties with [...]
